What is a Big Bang?
A Big Bang is an event where writers and artists are paired up to create content related to the characters Oikawa Tooru and Kageyama Tobio from Haikyuu!! By Furudate Haruichi. Their relationship will be referred to as “OiKage” throughout this document. In order to pair up creators, writers will be required to submit summaries for their planned fic. Artists and beta readers will then select their top preferences, from which they will be paired.As long as OiKage is the primary focus in your work, you can create whatever you wish. Other characters are allowed to appear in the Big Bang at the discretion of individual creators.Dual creators (people who want to participate as an artist and a writer) are definitely welcome! Beta reader and Pinch hitter roles are available to all participants. We just ask that participants evaluate their own capabilities and time before doing so.The event will feature both SFW and NSFW content. Anyone over the age of 16 may participate in the OiKage Big Bang. However, only creators over the age of 18 will be allowed to create NSFW content.There are four roles available in this bang:
Writers
Writers who sign up will commit to writing a piece that is at least 7,000 words long for this event.
There is no maximum word limit, feel free to write as much as you want!
This must be a new work that has never been published before. Once teams are announced, you are welcome to talk about your piece in the Discord server, but you are not permitted to share your entire piece until your posting date.
Fics that writers have already started are allowed as long as nothing has been shared publicly.
No prior writing experience is required.
A full piece does not need to be finished for posting, you just have to hit the 7,000 minimum word count requirement and the point in the story for which your artist has created.
Writers are also expected to have an AO3 account to publish their final piece in our collection.
Artists
Artists who sign up will commit to making at least one drawing that is either colored or shaded on unlined paper.
Backgrounds, while recommended, are optional.
There is no maximum requirement, feel free to create more art if you wish.
This must be a new work that has never been published before.
Once teams are announced, you are welcome to share snippets of your piece, but you are not permitted to share your entire piece until your posting date.
No prior art experience is required! Both traditional and digital mediums are welcomed.
Beta Readers
Beta Readers who sign up will commit to beta reading at least one fic and should expect that fic to be at least 7,000 words long.
No prior beta reading experience is required.
Your role as a beta reader may depend on the writer you are working with.
Pinch Hitters
Pinch Hitters are back-up writers/artists/betas who will be contacted in case of drop outs.
If an artist drops while a writer is mostly complete with a fic, then we will ask if there are any pinch-hit artists interested in creating artwork based on the fic.
If a writer drops while an artist is mostly complete with a work, we may ask if there are any pinch-hit writers interested in writing a fic based on the art as long as both the original writer and artist are comfortable with this (the fic does not have to follow the original writer’s summary details at all). Depending on how close it is to the deadline, we may accept a lower word count for this fic.

Pinch Hitter sign-ups will remain open throughout the whole event.
Participants may sign up for as many roles as they think they can handle. We also welcome casual cheerleaders!

Rules & Guidelines
All fics and art must have Oikawa Tooru and Kageyama Tobio as the central characters.
We will primarily communicate through Discord.
The timezone all deadlines will be is EST.
Participants must be 16 years or older to participate in this event.
Participants must be 18 years or older to create NSFW (rated M or E) fanwork.
Creations are not allowed to contain the following: pedophilia/extreme underage/shotacon, bestiality (where it relates to animals that cannot consent), and incest.
Participants can sign up for multiple roles as long as it is manageable with your schedule.
If you already have a team (artist, writer, or beta) in mind, please indicate this when signing up so that we can remove the fic summary from the claiming process. All members of a team must still complete the sign-up form.
Participants must submit timely check-ins and meet the minimum requirement each time.
All work for this bang must be unpublished until posting! Please keep your work secret until then.
Ronnie (she/her) is an Oikawa stan first and foremost and an exhausted, broke college student second. In her non-existent free time, she spends all the money that she doesn’t have on HQ zines, MXTX novels and Taylor Swift albums — because who needs food when you are in about a million different fandoms, right? Fish (she/they) is one of the most prolific OiKage fic writers around - but only if you count the pile of unfinished and unposted WIPs in her Google Drive. When they aren't crying over how important Oikawa and Kageyama are to each other, they're launching into barely-prompted rants about their relationship, doodling them kissing, or starting another goddamn fic WIP. Lina (she/her) is still in a Haikyuu chokehold after two years with no signs of stopping anytime soon. These volleyball boys have bought her back into writing fanfiction after a 15-year hiatus. When she first learned about the existence of OiKage as a ship, her mind spun out of control with the possibilities, the angst, and the complicated feelings.
